Burger King Restaurants of Canada, Inc. dials up the heat on the WHOPPER(R) Sandwich, an international icon, by introducing the hot WHIPLASH WHOPPER(TM) at participating Canadian restaurants nationwide. This feisty sandwich, the spiciest to hit Canadian menus, is available for a limited time only.

"This winter, we're defying the cold and heating things up at BURGER KING(R). We've taken our world-famous WHOPPER(R) Sandwich and spiced it up with zesty, hot flavours," says Jason Keown, Senior Director of Marketing at BURGER KING(R) Canada. "Reserved for spice-lovers only, the WHIPLASH WHOPPER(TM) gives Canadians even more to love in this BURGER KING(R) classic - with an added kick."

Served on a traditional WHOPPER(R) bun, the WHIPLASH WHOPPER(TM) features a 100 per cent beef patty, two slices of Pepper Jack cheese, crispy, hot red peppers, spicy mayo, along with fresh lettuce, tomato, and ketchup.

The WHIPLASH WHOPPER(TM) is now available at participating BURGER KING(R) restaurants across Canada until February 13, 2011. The traditional WHOPPER(R) Sandwich will remain on the menu during the WHIPLASH WHOPPER(TM) promotion, with both sandwiches available during breakfast hours.

BURGER KING(R) Canada will launch a national advertising campaign to support the launch, including television, radio and online ads.
