About MarketXLS

MarketXLS's mission is to democratize the investment research market by providing family offices and individual investors with the same tools as used by institutional traders and hedge fund managers for portfolio management, options analysis, and risk management at an affordable cost.

MarketXLS makes it very easy to consume usable real-time data of stocks, options, mutual funds, and more with spreadsheet-based functions.

There are more than a billion data points available for any options trader when you look at various stocks, ETFs, Indices.

For the Options traders, the data's availability seems pretty abundant at the surface. Still, when the traders get to using this data, they see issues that are not apparent initially like compliance, limits, costs, volume, consistency, and ease of access.

Founded in 2016, MarketXLS is a fintech specializing in excel based investment research. MarketXLS's mission is to democratize the investment research market by providing family offices and individual investors with the same tools as used by institutional traders and hedge fund managers for portfolio management, options analysis, and risk management at an affordable cost.

Most simply possible, MarketXLS makes available “usable” market data and analytics in Excel.

“With our new product OptionXLS the users can take advantage of having more than a billion data points of Options data on the fly with easy-to-use Excel functions,” said Mohan.

“OptionXLS makes it possible for the users to make their option strategy models and calculators with ease,” Added Ankur

The company’s core product portfolio consists of the following products:

  • Live and historical stock data.
  • Portfolio optimization analysis.
  • Inbuilt and custom indicators.
  • Pre-made templates, models.
  • Fundamental data and charts.
  • Media and news integrations.

MarketXLS has announced OptionXLS as a perfect solution, allowing Options traders to record their Option Trades, make their calculators, create custom strategies, compare stock fundamentals, etc.

In light of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic and recent market volatility, many stock traders are shifting focus to options trading.

“Options trading gives traders high leverage while trading where you can control many more shares for your investment than if you were to invest in stocks. However, this leverage comes a lot more risk, as well.” - Robin

MarketXLS took note and created a new product called OptionXLS to provide an “Options Traders” focused version of MarketXLS.

“With our OptionXLS initiative, we are looking to help active Options Traders to gain an advantage in their options trading with many options focused templates and on a new introductory monthly pricing plan.” – Mohan added

Innovation Outlook

MarketXLS fills a gap, allowing Options Traders to access Stock Options data points in a consistent and normalized way.

According to Ankur, the response has been excellent, and the firm “will continue to add hundreds of Option Analysis models and templates to help Options Traders.”

“As we advance, MarketXLS aims to hone in on three groups of users: value investors, options traders, as well as family offices and funds that want a Bloomberg alternative. New additions to the firm’s platform will include improved stock option analytics via OptionXLS. Mohan said.
