Built-in Audio Wizard allows DTS Headphone:X personalization based on music genre, headphone brand and model, and end user's unique listening profile

DTS, a global leader in high-definition audio solutions and a wholly owned subsidiary of Xperi Corporation XPER ("Xperi"), is pleased to announce the integration of DTS Headphone:X in the new ASUS ZenFone 4 Android smartphone. A new feature to this model is the built-in Audio Wizard, which allows for audio personalization and DTS Headphone:X optimization based on music genre, selected headphones and the end user's unique listening profile.

The ASUS ZenFone 4 features three DTS Headphone:X personalization features to improve the listening experience of music, movies, and other entertainment through the Audio Wizard. First, consumers can choose from eight setting presets that are built for a variety of music genres (Normal, Classical, Dance, Jazz, Pop, Rock, Vocal and Custom). Secondly, the Audio Wizard includes a library of more than 400 headphone models, so no matter the brand or model that consumers choose, their audio is custom-tuned for enhanced quality. Finally, the new Audio Wizard allows users to quickly build a customized listening profile enabling the DTS Headphone:X technology to adjust audio output based on the user's listening preference results.

"DTS Headphone:X technology maximizes the personalized listening experience of the ZenFone 4," said Geir Skaaden, chief product and services officer at Xperi. "Consumers are now choosing smartphones based on their features and performance capabilities. No matter the brand or model of headphones or ear buds the user selects, DTS Headphone:X technology enhances all smartphone-based audio content, delivering a premium entertainment experience."

"DTS Headphone:X is an integral part of providing our consumers the ultimate entertainment experience in the new ZenFone 4," said Jone Chang, division director, Phone BU, ASUS.
