Community Bank Serving 4,000 Customers Turns to Leading Payment Card Provider's Instant Issuance Solution in Response to Data Breach

CPI Card Group PMTSPMTS ("CPI" or the "Company"), a global leader in financial and EMV® chip card production and related services, announced that northeast Indiana-based Farmers & Merchants Bank successfully implemented Card@Once® to provide in-branch instant issuance of EMV-enabled debit cards in all four of its local branches.

Farmers and Merchants Bank implemented CPI's instant card issuance solution to provide an immediate response to customers affected by data breaches. Card@Once® allows the bank to reprint and reissue EMV®-enabled cards on the spot – providing customers with fully-activated, personalized cards. As of May 2017, within four months of implementing CPI's instant issuance solution, the bank printed a total of 1,189 EMV chip debit cards across its four branches. During this mass reissue of cards, the bank simultaneously migrated all customers to the new EMV standard, increasing the security of every customer account with the implementation of a chip card program.
