The Asia Tigers Fund, Inc. Announces 2017 Annual General Stockholder Meeting Date

PHILADELPHIA, June 30, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Asia Tigers Fund, Inc. (the "Fund") GRR announced that the Annual Meeting of Stockholders of the Fund will be held on September 15, 2017 at the offices of Aberdeen Asset Management Inc., 1735 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103 and that the record date for the Annual Meeting is July 31, 2017.

The Fund's Board of Directors is undertaking with Management an examination of strategic alternatives that might be available to the Fund, including possible corporate actions for future consideration of stockholders. There can be no assurance that any alternatives considered by the Board will result in any action being taken by the Fund or presented to the Fund's stockholders for approval.

Proposals by stockholders of the Fund intended to be presented at the September 15, 2017 Annual Meeting of Stockholders must be received by the Fund (addressed to The Asia Tigers Fund, Inc., 1735 Market Street, 32nd Floor, Philadelphia, PA 19103) for inclusion in the Fund's proxy statement relating to that meeting no later than July 10, 2017. Any stockholder who desires to bring a proposal for consideration at the September 15, 2017 Annual Meeting of Stockholders without including such proposal in the Fund's proxy statement must deliver written notice thereof to the Secretary of the Fund (addressed to The Asia Tigers Fund, Inc., 1735 Market Street, 32nd Floor, Philadelphia, PA 19103) no later than Monday, July 10, 2017.
