 The Travelers Companies, Inc. TRV 
 today announced that it will redeem the remaining $106,899,000 aggregate 
 principal amount of its 6.25% Fixed-to-Floating Rate Junior Subordinated 
 Debentures due 2067. Following the redemption, none of these Debentures 
 will remain outstanding.
 
 
 The Debentures will be redeemed on June 2, 2017, at a redemption price 
 equal to 100% of the principal amount thereof, plus accrued and unpaid 
 interest to the redemption date. Interest on the Debentures will cease 
 to accrue on and after the redemption date.
 
 
 The Notice of Redemption was sent to all registered holders today, May 
 3, 2017. Investors in the Debentures should contact the bank or broker 
 through which they hold a beneficial interest in the Debentures for 
 information about obtaining the redemption payment.
