Sight & Sound Theatres®' Production of Iconic Bible Story 'JONAH' Swims From Stage to Cinemas for a Special, One-Night Event

Following an acclaimed stage run where more than one million people saw ‘JONAH' live, this signature show – based on one of the most well-known Bible stories ever told – springs to life in jaw-dropping scale on the big screen for one night. Filmed before a live audience at Sight & Sound's Lancaster, Pennsylvania theater, "JONAH: On Stage!" comes to movie theaters nationwide on Tuesday, May 2, at 7:00 p.m. local time, from Fathom Events and Sight & Sound.

In addition to this incredible production, audiences will get an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at the history of Sight & Sound, whose live stage shows have been seen by more than 22 million visitors worldwide.

When God calls Jonah to offer mercy and forgiveness to the people of Nineveh, Jonah runs straight in the opposite direction. As is often the case, one bad choice leads to another and soon Jonah's "get-away" ship is on the verge of destruction amidst a terrible storm. To save themselves, the ship's crew tosses Jonah overboard and into the waiting mouth of one ginormous fish.
