WINTER HAVEN, Fla., Jan. 9, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- CenterState Banks, Inc. ("CenterState") CSFL today announced an agreement to sell 2,450,000 shares of its common stock (the "Common Stock") to Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, A Stifel Company, and Raymond James & Associates, as underwriters, in a registered underwritten public offering. CenterState also expects to grant the underwriters an option for a period of 30 days to purchase an additional 245,000 shares of Common Stock.

CenterState intends to use the net proceeds from this offering for general corporate purposes.

The Common Stock will be issued pursuant to an effective shelf registration statement (including base prospectus), a preliminary prospectus supplement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (the "SEC"), and a final prospectus supplement to be filed with the SEC.
