Shire plc to Join the NASDAQ-100 Index Beginning October 19, 2016

NEW YORK, Oct. 11, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Nasdaq NDAQ today announced that Shire plc SHPG, will become a component of the NASDAQ-100 Index® NDX and the NASDAQ-100 Equal Weighted Index NDXE prior to market open on Wednesday, October 19, 2016. Shire plc will replace Linear Technology Corporation LLTC in the indexes.
