NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Time Warner Cable today announced that all calls placed by its residential and commercial phone customers to landline and mobile numbers in Ecuador, Japan and Myanmar will be free through May 19, 2016. Free calling will be retroactive for calls placed to the three countries beginning April 13 for Myanmar, April 14 for Japan and April 16 for Ecuador - the dates that each country suffered a devastating earthquake.

"For all our customers who have loved ones in Ecuador, Japan or Myanmar, we hope that being able to reach out to them any time and as often as possible brings some comfort during this extremely difficult time," said Time Warner Cable Chairman and CEO Rob Marcus.

TWC phone customers who make calls to the three countries during the eligible time period do not need to make any changes to their accounts. Customers who were charged on or after the retroactive free calling date will be credited automatically.
