GTSO 3D Printing Partner Seeks Manufacturer for Child-Proof Cannabis Containers

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Green Technology Solutions, Inc. GTSO and its 3D printing partner, 6^th Dimension Technologies, began seeking out suitable manufacturers for a prototype child-proof container designed to safely store medical cannabis.

GTSO and 6^th Dimension started prototyping possible designs using 3D printing technology in December. After initial testing, the companies are moving forward with fully scalable, locking container capable of being produced in sizes suitable for key-chains, bookshelves or anything in between.

"As we reach out to manufacturers, we are working to find one who can produce these containers using a suitably flexible, synthetic material while remaining cost-effective," said GTSO CEO Wallace W. Browne. "Our plan is to mass-produce a cannabis container that is easy to open for adults and impossible for children, while remaining both air- and water-tight to prevent contamination."

The company plans to debut its first child-safe product in early 2016 in order to capitalize on the historic growth of the medical and adult-use cannabis markets in the U.S. and Canada.
