The Latin American Discovery Fund, Inc. Announces Board of Directors Update

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

The Latin American Discovery Fund, Inc. LDF (the "Fund") announced today that Class II Directors Michael Bozic and Michael Klein have resigned from the Board of Directors (the "Board") of the Fund, effective August 5, 2015, as the Fund does not expect that they will receive the required vote to be re-elected by stockholders of the Fund at the adjourned Meeting. In addition, Jakki Haussler has resigned as a Class III Director of the Fund, effective August 5, 2015, in order to realign the class structure of the Fund, and has been appointed by the Board as a Class II Director of the Fund, effective August 6, 2015.

The Fund is a non-diversified, closed-end management investment company that seeks long-term capital appreciation through investments primarily in equity securities of Latin American issuers and by investing, from time to time, in debt securities issued or guaranteed by a Latin American government or governmental entity.
