Benchmark Reiterates Speculative Buy Rating on MoSys After Launch of Gearbox

Benchmark analyst Gary Mobley published a report on MoSys

that reiterated its Speculative Buy rating with a price target of $7.50 after the announcement of Gearbox, a new product line. In the report Benchmark said, "MoSys announced a new product called Linespeed 100G Multi-Mode Gearbox IC (integrated circuit), a chip used in high speed networking applications. The addition of Gearbox complements MoSys' existing Bandwidth Engine high speed memory IC as both ICs are located in the data path on communications line cards. Gearbox handles physical layer (PHY) SerDes tasks on a line cards while Bandwidth Engine temporarily stores data packet information on the same line card." MoSys closed Monday at $4.62.
