Koppers Inclusion & Diversity Committee Hosts A Virtual National Town Hall with Police Chiefs to Discuss Race Relations

PITTSBURGH, March 25, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- Koppers Holdings Inc. KOP, an integrated global provider of treated wood products, wood treatment chemicals and carbon compounds, will host "Bridging the Racial Divide: A National Town Hall Discussion with Police Chiefs," on Monday, March 29, 2021, at 10 a.m. EDT.  The virtual event is presented by the company's Inclusion and Diversity Committee and will feature five police chiefs and a police commissioner from around the country that serve communities where Koppers employees work and live.

The town hall will bring together a group of law enforcement leaders with more than 165 years of combined experience. The group will share their perspectives on recent events and talk about steps being taken to address racial issues and create positive change within their local communities.

Participants in the event include:

  • Chief Gina Hawkins of Fayetteville, NC;
  • Chief Allen Heidler of Florence, SC;
  • Chief Johnny Jennings of Charlotte, NC;
  • Commissioner Danielle Outlaw of Philadelphia, PA;
  • Chief James Sassetti of Stickney, IL;
  • Chief Scott Schubert of Pittsburgh, PA.

Koppers President and CEO Leroy Ball will provide welcome remarks and Koppers Director of Global Inclusion and Diversity Lance Hyde will serve as the moderator.
