Newly Listed Bald Eagle BIG: Landing in World's Top Mining Jurisdiction

Toronto, March 24th, 2021 -- InvestorsHub NewsWire -- Bald Eagle Gold Corp. is going public on the TSX Venture Exchange on Wednesday, March 24th under the ticker: BIG. Bald Eagle's flagship project is the Hot Springs Property in Humboldt, County, Nevada.

The Fraser Institute recently released their 2020 annual survey of mining and exploration companies and ranked Nevada as the top jurisdiction in the world for mining investment. The survey went out to 2,200 individuals in explorations, development, and other mining-related companies, and the results allowed the Fraser Institute to evaluate 77 jurisdictions around the world.

Out of all the jurisdictions, including regions that are renowned for gold mining, Nevada proved to be the most mining-friendly. In fact, Nevada has consistently ranked in the top three for the past three consecutive years. There are many reasons why Nevada is so attractive for mineral exploration and why companies like Bald Eagle Gold Corp. are pursuing advanced stage exploration projects in the region.

Mineral Potential

It's no secret that Nevada consistently produces world-class gold deposits. In 2018, the U.S. was the world's fourth largest gold producer, and 83% of that gold came from Nevada. The gold that came out of Nevada alone that year accounted for 5.3% of the world's gold at roughly 104.8 million ounces. To date, Nevada has produced 3.9% of the total global gold production.

Nevada is has two main types of gold deposits: epithermal and Carlin-type deposits. Both are the result of hydrothermal events, meaning magma chambers below the Earth's crust heat up fluids that rise and interact with rock. During this process, minerals such as gold, silver, and zinc are dissolved and distributed throughout fault lines. These are some of the richest gold deposits in the world.

Stable Operating Environment

In today's globally competitive environment, a region's policy climate plays an important role in the success of mining ventures. Here's where Nevada comes out on top again.

Nevada has a long history of mining dating back to the discovery of the Comstock Lode in 1859. Since then, mining has proven to be a profitable industry in the region, and it has become deeply ingrained into the state's identity. Because of this, many policy makers and residents are intimately familiar with mining operations and welcome new production.

Mining-friendly policies include transparent regulations and permitting procedures, quick turnover time for permits, and competitive taxes. For example, the Nevada Constitution states that the tax upon the net proceeds of minerals extracted in the state cannot exceed 5% of the net proceeds.

Access to Infrastructure

Unlike many regions where mining operations are in remote areas that require flights in and out of the jurisdiction, Nevada has an extensive network of all-weather roads that provide easy access to project sites. This brings down transportation costs for mining teams and equipment. In addition, Nevada offers easy access to power and water, both of which are crucial to mining projects.

Established Gold Regions

Because Nevada has so many established regions with major gold trends, mining companies can fairly confidently pinpoint areas where they are likely to find new deposits. Take for example, Bald Eagle's Hot Springs project in Humboldt County. Covering 11,894 acres between Battle Mountain and the Getchell-Comstock Gold Trends, the project is surrounded by 18 well-known gold mines including Midas, Fire Creek, and the Turquoise Ridge Complex.

By positioning the project in an area that has historically proven to be rich in epithermal and Carlin-type deposits, Bald Eagle knows this is a highly prospective asset. The company is currently using modern techniques in geochemistry, geophysics, and mineralization to discover resources and reviewing and evaluating historical data to target exploration and development.

With all of these factors in mind, it should come as no surprise that Nevada is one of the most attractive jurisdictions in the world for gold exploration and mining investment. As the state continues to support the mining industry and companies employ advanced technology and improve efficiency, we can expect that Nevada will continue to offer investment opportunities for many years to come.
