Advanced Vapor Devices Announces New Hires, Promotions

Cannabis vape pen manufacturer Advanced Vapor Devices has promoted Audra Horridge from AVD's VP of operations to VP of Product.

Horridge brings knowledge in product manufacturing, formulation, and filling technology. In her new role, she would help with the company's product pipeline development.

Simultaneously, the Los Angeles company opted to hire Evan Meacham to serve as its Key Account Manager.

During his career, he worked as Marijuana Packaging's National Account Manager and technical specialist and also Director of the Vape Division at KushCo.

Michael Brosgart, the company's COO, said that both Horridge and Meacham have "impressive track records and a wealth of industry experience," adding that they would, without doubt, prove they are "invaluable to our clients."

In August, the company appointed Brendan Nicholas to serve as its VP of sales.

HEXO Names Charles Bowman General Manager Of US Operations

HEXO Corp HEXO HEXO has tapped Charles Bowman to manage US operations.

In his new position, Bowman will oversee the operations, supply chain, and logistics, build the team and also stand up and commissioning of production facilities.

He brings over thirty years of experience in natural biotech ingredients for the health, wellness, and nutritional beverage markets.

“We are excited to bring such established leadership to the team as we ramp up to support the growth initiatives of Truss CBD USA, our joint venture with Molson Coors, and for potential non-beverage CPG partners with whom we are in ongoing discussions,” said the company’s CEO and co-founder Sebastien St-Louis.

Meanwhile, Truss CBD USA, a joint venture between Molson Coors Beverages Co. TAP and HEXO, introduced a new line of CBD beverage in Colorado last month.

The sparkling CBD water and non-alcoholic CBD beverage with zero sugar and calories, dubbed Veryvell, comes in three flavors, including Mind & Body (Strawberry Hibiscus), Focus (Grapefruit Tarragon), and Unwind (Blueberry Lavender).

Matthew Santacroce To Oversee Rhode Island’s Medical Marijuana Industry

The Rhode Island Office of Cannabis Regulation has a new chief.

According to The Providence Journal, Matthew Santacroce, a former policy director for Gov. Gina Raimondo, has been serving in the role since mid-January.

At his new position, he will run a cannabis regulation office consisting of eight members.

He will also work on expanding the state’s medical program.

BC Craft Supply Taps Regan McGrath To Serve As CFO

BC Craft Supply Co. Ltd. has hired Regan McGrath to oversee its financial department, replacing Johannes (Theo) van der Linde.

McGrath served as an advisor and strategist to private and public companies within the cannabis as well as blockchain, and real estate industries.

She is Metrics Chartered Professional Accounting’s founding partner and CEO.

The Vancouver-based company said Monday that McGrath will work on building “enhanced capabilities, focusing on elevating the profile of Canadian craft cannabis and early-stage psilocybin.”

HempFusion CMO Remains U.S. Hemp Roundtable’s President

Ola Lessard has been named president of the U.S. Hemp Roundtable.

Lessard is CMO at health and wellness CBD company HempFusion Wellness Inc. CBD. This is the second consecutive term, Lessard has been elected to serve.

U.S. Hemp Roundtable is a non-profit organization that focuses on the legalization of hemp. The alliance brings together dozens of businesses and organizations dedicated to promoting safe hemp and CBD products.

“I am truly honored by the confidence my peers have shown in me by electing me to a second term as President of the U.S. Hemp Roundtable,” Lessard stated. “I strongly believe this organization will continue to be the driving force behind much of the legislative progress for hemp-derived products."

Meanwhile, the Denver-based company debuted on the Toronto Stock Exchange last month, ahead of entering into the European market via an agreement with an undisclosed consumer goods distributor in Ireland.
