Mike Khouw Sees Unusual Options Activity In This Gold ETF

On CNBC's "Options Action," Mike Khouw said SPDR Gold Trust GLD traded more than two times its average daily options volume on Tuesday. The call options volume almost reached three times the average daily call options volume.

The most active options were the January $185 calls as over 50,000 contracts were traded for an average price of $1.54. Buyers of those calls are betting the price is going to exceed $186.54, which would be an increase of around 2% from the closing price on Tuesday.
