CrossFirst Bank Promotes Kristin Tyson to Kansas City Bank President

CrossFirst Bank, today, announced the promotion of Kristin Tyson to Kansas City Bank President. In her new role, Mrs. Tyson will lead the growth strategy for the Bank's largest and fastest growing region.

Mrs. Tyson has served as Partner and Managing Director of Private and Relationship Banking at CrossFirst Bank since 2016. She brings 36 years of experience in commercial banking, private banking and retail banking.

Mrs. Tyson is actively engaged in the Kansas City community, serving on boards for the Salvation Army of Kansas and Western Missouri and the National Association of Women Business Owners. She served as President of the board of the Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault (MOCSA) and Armour Memorial Home. She is the co-founder of Golfology Fore Cardiology, a benefit golf tournament for the University of Kansas Hospital. In 2016, she was highlighted in the Kansas City Business Journal's Women Who Mean Business.

CrossFirst Bank also announced additional promotions at the Kansas City bank. Ward Nixon, Partner and Managing Director, will now lead the Bank's Corporate and Enterprise Finance Team managed by Matt Mayer and Robert Owens. Rebecca Larason will lead the Bank's Private Banking team, and Stephanie Makalous will lead the Bank's Treasury Banking Team.

Kristin Tyson brings 36 years of commercial banking, private banking and retail banking expertise, spanning a wide variety of industries and transaction types. Mrs. Tyson began her banking career in Topeka, Kansas and in 1990 moved to the Kansas City area where she led teams working in commercial banking, treasury services, private banking and retail banking as they grew organically and through acquisition. In October of 2016, Mrs. Tyson joined CrossFirst Bank as Partner and Managing Director of Private Banking. Mrs. Tyson received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance and a Master of Business Administration degree at Washburn University. Mrs. Tyson and her husband Jeff reside in Olathe, Kansas. They have four children, seven grandsons and one granddaughter.
