GENE (the "Company") announced today the resignation of Mr. Marc Ripa from, and appointment of Ms. Brenda Dixon to, the Board of Directors of the Company. Ms. Dixon is currently a director of Acreage Pharms Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company and holds a Master's degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Ms. Dixon has worked nationally and internationally with diverse industry and regulatory agencies on Environmental Quality issues for many years. Ms. Dixon said "I'm most pleased to return to my roots in agriculture in Alberta."
