Arcimoto and Eugene Springfield Fire Department Begin Pilot Program For Rapid Responder

The world's first pilot program for the Rapid Responder, the ultra-efficient electric vehicle for specialized emergency, security and law enforcement service, is now underway.

Arcimoto, Inc.® FUV and Eugene Springfield Fire Department announced today that they have begun the first pilot program for testing the Rapid Responder™, a pure electric three-wheeled vehicle designed for first responders to more quickly and efficiently reach emergencies at a fraction of the economic and environmental costs of traditional diesel-powered vehicles.

Built on the modular Arcimoto Platform, the Rapid Responder pilot vehicle features a top speed of 75 mph, 100 city mile range, seating for two, rear cargo compartment, a roof-mounted equipment rack, mini lightbar and siren, 360-degree scene lights, and silent-running for improved radio communication. Full specs and pricing will be revealed when the Rapid Responder goes into full production later this year.
