T-Mobile leads the sponsorship lineup for the premier signature event supporting girls and women in STEAM.

ATLANTA (PRWEB) September 27, 2019

Atlanta-based nonprofit Women in Technology's (WIT) annual Women of the Year Awards celebrates female visionaries of science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM), groundbreakers in business and remarkable leaders who make a difference in their workplace and community. The Women in Technology (WIT) leadership team is excited to announce T-Mobile as its Presenting Sponsor for the 2019 WIT Awards Annual Gala signature event that will take place Thursday, November 14, at the Georgia Aquarium.

The event is aligned with T-Mobile's commitment to supporting equality in the workplace – being recognized by organizations such as The Human Rights Campaign, Military Friendly, Disability:IN, and others, for being a top workplace for minority groups. The Un-carrier also has an employee network group, the Women's Leadership Network (WLN), which strives to inspire, develop, and advance the careers of women both for their employees and out in the community.

"T-Mobile is built on the idea that a more diverse employee base can better solve problems for our customers. It's why we believe that everyone – regardless of their race, sex, creed, gender identity, and sexual orientation – should have the same opportunities to grow and succeed. Just look at our female engineers and tech leaders, who are some of the brightest minds at the company innovating for the future!" said Tamara Hall, VP, Product & Technology at T-Mobile. "T-Mobile is proud to be the Presenting Sponsor for this year's Women of the Year Awards as another way to support the equality conversation and celebrate all of the amazing leaders being honored!"

"We are extremely delighted to have the support of T-Mobile for this year's WIT Awards Gala. WIT is excited to work with a company like T-Mobile that is making a measurable impact to change the trajectory of girls and women in STEAM careers. We look forward to continuing our wonderful relationship with the T-Mobile team," said Penny Collins, WIT President and CEO.

The Women of the Year Awards gathers more than 800 industry thought leaders, influencers and top-level executives who are at the forefront in STEAM. The event will also recognize and announce the Woman of the Year – women who demonstrate leadership in Small/Emerging Organizations, Medium/Mid-Size Organizations and Educational Institutions, Large/Enterprise Organizations and Non-Profit Organizations. Additionally, one special WIT Girl will be recognized as the Girl of the Year for her exemplary achievement and dedication to STEAM education.
