Black Construction Corporation Awarded $178 Million Andersen AFB Housing Project in Guam

Tutor Perini Corporation TPC, a leading civil, building and specialty construction company, announced today that its subsidiary, Black Construction Corporation, has been awarded a contract valued at approximately $178 million by the U.S. Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Pacific, for the replacement of Andersen Air Force Base housing. The project scope of work includes the construction of duplex buildings with reinforced concrete foundations, concrete floors, concrete walls and concrete-sloped roofs designed for 170 mph wind speed to withstand Guam's frequent typhoons.

Work is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2019 with substantial completion anticipated in June 2022. The contract value will be included in the Company's third quarter 2019 backlog.
