W. R. Berkley Corporation WRB today announced the appointment of Daniel R. Westcott as president of Berkley Re America, a Berkley Company.

Mr. Westcott has over 20 years of experience in the property casualty reinsurance market. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics with a minor in mathematics from Rollins College and a Masters of Business Administration with an emphasis in finance and marketing from the New York University Stern School of Business.

Commenting on the appointment, W. Robert Berkley, Jr., president and chief executive officer of W. R.
