Chiasma Announces Proposed Offering of Common Stock

WALTHAM, Mass., March 28, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Chiasma, Inc. CHMA, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on improving the lives of patients with rare and serious chronic diseases, today announced that it has commenced an underwritten public offering of its common stock. In addition, Chiasma expects to grant the underwriter a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 15% of the number of shares of common stock sold in connection with the offering. This offering is subject to market conditions and there can be no assurance as to whether or when the offering may be completed, or as to the actual size or terms of the offering.

Cantor Fitzgerald & Co. is acting as sole book-running manager for the offering.

The shares of common stock are offered pursuant to a shelf registration statement on Form S-3 (File No. 333-223850), including a base prospectus, filed by Chiasma on March 22, 2018 and declared effective by the Securities and Exchange Commission, or the SEC, on May 3, 2018.
