JERICHO, N.Y., Jan. 9, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Esquire Financial Holdings, Inc. ESQ (the "Company"), the holding company for Esquire Bank, National Association ("Esquire Bank"), announced that its Board of Directors has approved a stock repurchase program for up to 300,000 shares of its common stock, or approximately 4.0% of its outstanding shares.

"We believe the current market price for our stock understates the value of the Company based on our strong financial performance, capital position and future growth prospects," stated Andrew C. Sagliocca, CEO and President.  "This program represents an attractive investment opportunity, benefiting the Company and our shareholders."

The Company may repurchase the shares from time to time through open market purchases, privately negotiated transactions or in any other manner that is compliant with applicable securities laws.
