The benefits of Ingevity's WestRez® tall oil rosin resin for road markings are highlighted in a recently released video about Stripe-a-Zone, a Grand Prairie, Texas-based pavement marking company that uses WestRez in its thermoplastic marking material formulation. WestRez helps the marking better retain retro-reflectivity in low light and after exposure to everyday wear and tear and harsh weather conditions, which is important for driver visibility and overall safety.

The video features representatives from Stripe-a-Zone and Ingevity, and demonstrates the value of WestRez in formulating superior lane striping material because of its ability to adhere the glass beads in the striping paint to the roadway, which increases retro-reflectivity.

"The thermoplastic road markings we install adhere to the road better and hold their shape longer than other marking products," said David Sergeant, executive vice president of Stripe-a-Zone. "This allows the line to provide better retro-reflectivity for drivers and to alert drivers with an audible rumble effect if they drift over the edge lines. We take pride in marking roads to maintain driver safety."
