October Marketplace Spend Pacing at 40% Higher Year over Year

IZEA Worldwide, Inc. IZEA, operator of IZEAx®, the premier online marketplace connecting brands and publishers with influential content creators, today announced that it has been selected to execute an influencer marketing program for a Fortune 10 customer to promote its products during the 2018 holiday season. The latest program is an expansion of an existing brand direct relationship which spans multiple divisions in the company and has now more than tripled in size year-to-date as compared to 2017.

"The holiday shopping season represents a wonderful opportunity for our customers to leverage online influencers to impact purchase intent during the busiest and most competitive online shopping season," said Ted Murphy, Founder and CEO of IZEA. "Consumers are actively seeking gift ideas and often to turn to social media in order to find inspiration and perform research. Engaging influencers to share product information on visual platforms, such as Instagram and YouTube, allows brands to showcase unique features and benefits that aren't conveyed in traditional advertising."

The company will be utilizing IZEA's managed services and the IZEAx influencer marketing platform to execute its program. IZEAx provides access to a marketplace of online influencers that can be engaged at scale to create sponsored posts on social media platforms.

"In addition to this program, we have seen a surge of marketers using our platforms to pre-plan holiday campaigns this quarter. Not only is the scheduled October marketplace spend pacing at 40% higher than this time last year, but we already have an expected $1M in marketplace spend scheduled for November. This is well ahead of what is typically scheduled in a forward-looking month," commented Francesca Cruz, Vice President of Customer Success, SaaS at IZEA. "Individual influencers can only engage in so many sponsorships in a given time frame, and they must maintain a healthy balance between sponsored and organic content. The most sophisticated marketers are aware that popular influencers can become supply constrained, so they are locking in these relationships well in advance."
