Eros International Forms Joint Venture With One of India's Top Screen-Writers and Directors

Exclusive collaboration will celebrate cinema through joint development of scripts and production and distribution of films and web-series

Eros International PLC EROS ("Eros"), a leading global company in the Indian film entertainment industry, announced today that its Indian subsidiary, Eros International Media Limited, formed a joint venture with V. Vijayendra Prasad, one of India's most prestigious screen-writers and directors. Eros and Mr. Prasad have agreed to partner and jointly develop scripts, greenlight projects, and produce and distribute films and web-series across Hindi, Telugu and Tamil languages.

As an award-winning screen-writer and director, Mr. Prasad is popular for his body of work in various Indian language films, including many high-grossing box office successes including Baahubali, Makhkhi and Magadheera. Mr. Prasad has been recognized with several popular Indian awards, including Filmfare Award for Best Story (Bajrangi Bhaijaan), Nandi Award for Best Feature Film (Rajanna), Sony Guild Award for Best Story (Bajrangi Bhaijaan) and The Iconic Trade Achiever of the Year for Indywood Film Market. Eros and Mr. Prasad last collaborated for Bajrangi Bhaijaan, which garnered worldwide success, including a strong box office performance in China. Setting this venture into motion, Mr. Prasad has already penned ten stories for the joint venture and several leading directors have been selected to bring the stories to life. These include a family action thriller by acclaimed Telugu director Sukumar, another thriller in Tamil and Telugu by S.S. Kanchi and Sriman making his Hindi directorial debut under the joint venture.
