CEMEX Recognizes International Suppliers

CEMEX, S.A.B. de C.V. ("CEMEX") CX announced today the winners of the third edition of the company's INTEGRATE Innovation Program and the winner of the company's first global edition of Supplier of the Year.

In its final phase, CEMEX's INTEGRATE Innovation Program included 11 global suppliers of various categories and services (i.e., mobile equipment, paper and sacks, lubricants, additives, and refractory material, among others), who proposed 15 creative ideas to generate more efficient processes, products, and services. To evaluate and qualify the ideas received, 70 people from different areas of CEMEX (e.g., Technical, Planning, Operations, Innovation, Commercial, and Procurement) and different regions of the world participated in the selection of the three winning ideas.

Correspondingly, CEMEX representatives from the different global categories carried out the company's Supplier of the Year selection process.

CEMEX presented the awards at a ceremony on Wednesday, May 30, in Monterrey, Mexico. The event was led by Jesus Gonzalez, CEMEX Executive Vice President of Sustainability and Operations Development, and Carlos Sucre, CEMEX Global Procurement Director.

The INTEGRATE Innovation Program aims to strengthen collaboration between CEMEX and its suppliers in a mutually beneficial process that generates new and innovative ideas to enable the company to improve practices throughout its value chain, while supporting cost-reduction strategies in CEMEX's operations worldwide.

The Supplier of the Year program recognizes suppliers for their safe, sustainable, profitable, and innovative solutions and services for CEMEX and its customers. It is a special distinction for suppliers with outstanding participation in the achievement of CEMEX's objectives in the areas of Health and Safety, Sustainability, Applied Innovation, and Customer Focus.
