Company Expands Canada Footprint With the Implementation of Vehicle-Based Mobile Speed and Stop Sign Enforcement Technologies in the Province of Alberta

HANOVER, MD / ACCESSWIRE / May 2, 2018 / Brekford Traffic Safety, Inc. ("Brekford"), a subsidiary of Novume Solutions, Inc. NVMM and a leading public safety technology service provider of fully integrated automated traffic safety enforcement ("ATSE") solutions, today announced it has secured an agreement to provide a turnkey automated photo enforcement solution to the City of Leduc, located in the province of Alberta.

The implementation of Brekford's speed and stop sign enforcement technologies will include a 2-in-1 system comprised of a vehicle-based camera and laptop console. The system features rapid deployment, with a roadside configuration in minutes and seamless transfer to other vehicles. The compact mobile unit captures and records speeding and stop sign violations with a superior degree of accuracy and no direct operator intervention. High-resolution images of vehicle license plates, in all weather and lighting conditions, are saved for processing and eventual citation issuance.

The system also includes a license to the Company's backend iP360 software, which is customized for Canada citation issuance. The iP360 processing suite provides a single interface for all citation management functions, including a completely web-based ticket management system, violation payment processing, and customer call center services.

"We are proud to be chosen by the City of Leduc to provide our safety enforcement technologies and to help ensure safer driving habits of its citizens. We are also excited to continue our work in Alberta, and to have created a footprint by which multiple other cities in the province are considering our technology," said Rod Hillman, Brekford's President, and COO. "Cities throughout Canada are increasingly seeking innovative technologies to support their officers and improve roadway safety, and we feel our solutions are uniquely built to serve those needs."

With recent contracts within the province of Alberta, including Leduc and the City of Wetaskiwin, Brekford has created a proof of concept for provincial cities across the region to follow for the implementation of traffic safety enforcement systems. Brekford's innovative technologies are ideal to help law enforcement agencies and municipalities ensure the compliance and safety of Alberta's 3 million licensed drivers, and more than 25 million licensed drivers nationwide.
