AIG Names Ed Dandridge as Head of Marketing and Communications, General Insurance

American International Group, Inc. AIG today announced that Ed Dandridge will join the company as Head of Marketing and Communications, General Insurance, effective April 16, 2018.

In this role, Mr. Dandridge will be responsible for creating and implementing General Insurance's global marketing and communications strategy and programs. Mr. Dandridge will report to Peter Zaffino, Chief Executive Officer, General Insurance, and will serve as a member of the General Insurance Executive Leadership Team.

Mr. Dandridge is joining AIG from Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc. (MMC), where he served as global Chief Marketing and Communications Officer since 2014. Prior to working at MMC, Mr. Dandridge served as President and Chief Executive Officer of The National Association of Investment Companies. Before this, he was Chief Communications Officer for Nielsen (NLSN), a global information services company. Earlier in his career he served as Vice President of Network Television at ABC. He began his career as an attorney.

Mr. Dandridge currently serves as a Member of the Economic & Community Advisory Council, Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia and was recently named as Savoy Magazine's 100 Most Influential African American Corporate Executives. He holds a B.A. from Tufts University and received his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law.
