BNP Paribas Asset Management Launches Actively-Managed U.S. Small Cap Equity Mutual Fund

NEW YORK, Feb. 12, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- BNP Paribas Asset Management (BNPP AM) is pleased to announce the expansion of their institutional capabilities in the U.S. with the launch of a U.S. Small Cap Equity actively managed mutual fund, shortly following the launch of the Emerging Markets Total Return Fixed Income mutual fund in December 2017.

The BNPP AM U.S. Small Cap Equity Fund seeks long-term capital appreciation by investing in a diversified portfolio of quality companies.  We search out companies that have competitive advantages which we believe will allow them to sustainably grow their earnings, in an attempt to produce attractive long-term risk adjusted returns. The team exploits opportunities by developing differentiated views based on market inefficiencies and in-depth research.

The fund is co-managed by Pamela Woo, Head of US Equities for BNPP AM and Geoffry Dailey, CFA, Senior Portfolio Manager for BNPP AM.  They are part of a dedicated seven-member investment team that averages 16 years of investment experience and has USD $951 million in AUM for US Small Caps (as of 12/31/2017).  The team also manages mid- and large cap US equities with a total of $3 billion AUM (as of 12/31/2017). Total equities AUM for all of BNP Paribas Asset Management is USD $110 billion.

The fund is low-cost and actively managed featuring attractive initial expense ratios of 0.75% for institutional shares; 0.90% for investor shares; and 1.15% for retail shares.

The BNPP AM U.S. Small Cap Equity Fund is now available for investment under the following tickers: Institutional Shares: BNPUX; Investor Shares: BNPVX and Retail Shares: BNPWX.
