Dayton Power and Light Honors Outstanding Channel Partners in Energy Efficiency

The Dayton Power and Light Company (DP&L), a subsidiary of The AES Corporation AES, recognized area businesses for their outstanding performance in helping customers understand energy efficiency options.

Channel Partners participate in a DP&L rebate workshop to learn how to maximize our programs to save money and energy. Once certified, Channel Partners educate customers to find the program that best meets their needs and reduces energy costs. Collectively, all the Channel Partners contributed 34% of the overall kWh savings from all rebates paid in 2017.

2017 Top Performers – Lighting and Non-Lighting

  • Dickman Supply, Inc. (Sidney, Greenville and Celina) – a Channel Partner since the program began consistently delivered exceptional results with more than $428,500 in paid rebates and accumulating 6,412,744 kWh in energy savings.
  • Air Handling Equipment Inc. (Sidney) – submitted applications for 28 non-lighting projects with more than $144,500 in paid rebates and collected 1,733,580 kWh in energy savings.

2017 Outstanding Performance

  • Garber Electrical Contractors (Dayton) – delivered a strong performance, with tremendous increase which more than quadrupled their amount of kWh from the prior year – 474,700 kWh in energy savings in 2016 followed by 2,068,809 kWh in energy savings.

2017 Rookie of the Year

  • Evans Electric (Dayton) – first year as a certified Channel Partner, and currently known as Evans Electric but transitioning to e2green LED Solutions, accumulated 345,984 in kWh energy savings with$22,175 in rebates paid.
