WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CA / ACCESSWIRE / January 23, 2018 / Alltemp, Inc. LTMP (''the Company''), a developer of proprietary and environmentally friendly refrigerant technologies, today announced that the Company has released a new refrigerant alternative for R-404A applications known as alltemp® 4, a drop-in refrigerant. R-404A has one of the highest GWPs (Global Warming Potential) of any HFC refrigerants and is rapidly being phased out in the European Union as well as other developed countries.

Like Alltemp's other refrigerants, alltemp® 4 was engineered to utilize the same anti-corrosive and non-flammable alltemp® core technology that provides considerable energy efficiencies and meets ASHRAE A1 safety classification standards.

alltemp® 4 increases the lifespan of existing R-404A equipment and other medium pressure systems and is designed to operate better at lower ambient temperatures.

Field tests & laboratory results for alltemp® 4 are extremely positive. In a benchmark test conducted by Applied Research Laboratories, alltemp® 4 delivered a better SEER and EER rating than R-404A in a side by side comparison. This is ''extremely significant, as alltemp® 4 has a 70% lower GWP than R-404A and better efficiency,'' said William Lopshire, Alltemp CEO. The refrigerant was specifically engineered to have higher suction and head pressure that closely match medium pressure range refrigerants, allowing for an even easier installation, greater energy and financial savings.

R-404A is one of the most widely used refrigerants today. According to a global overview and analysis conducted by Building Services Research and Information Association (BSRIA), an estimated 336 million lbs. of R-404a refrigerant will be sold in 2018. It is also the dominant refrigerant in most European supermarkets for chilled and frozen food refrigeration, as well as other commercial systems in numerous markets. Replacing R-404A with alltemp® 4 will improve operator's margins and significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

''Our goal is to replace R-404A on a global basis with alltemp® 4, delivering a significantly better environmental footprint and yielding substantial energy savings,'' said William Lopshire, Alltemp CEO.
