Almost Never Films, Inc. Announces the Start of Principal Photography for Faith-Based Feature "The Prayer Box" Starring Denise Richards

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 15, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Almost Never Films, Inc. HLWD, a publicly traded independent film company based in Los Angeles, California, commenced principal photography of the faith-based motion picture "The Prayer Box". The project's cast includes Denise Richards, who appeared in films such as "Starship Troopers" (Starring Neil Patrick Harris and Clancy Brown), Wild Things (Starring Kevin Bacon and Bill Murray), and appeared as the Bond girl Dr. Christmas Jones in "The World Is Not Enough" (Starring Pierce Brosnan). The film also stars Reginald VelJohnson, who is known for his role as Sergeant Al Powell in "Die Hard" and "Die Hard 2" (Starring Bruce Willis) and as Carl Winslow on the ABC sitcom series Family Matters.

"The Prayer Box" is Directed by Kevan Otto, who has an extensive resume in faith-based films. Some of his past movies include "Grace of God", "In the Name of God", and "Online". His most recent feature film "A Question of Faith" (Starring Richard T. Jones, Gregory Alan Williams, and Kim Fields) was released theatrically by Pure Flix Entertainment this past fall.

The film is being produced by Almost Never Films, Inc., and Big Film Factory, LLC.  Pure Flix Entertainment will be distributing all of the films worldwide in new media format. The motion pictures will be exhibited on Pure Flix Entertainment's digital SVOD platform and may be considered for theatrical releases.  "The Prayer Box" is the first film of a multi-film financing agreement with Pure Flix to produce six faith-based original motion pictures.
