Rent-A-Center, Inc. Raises $50,000 to Benefit Feeding America®

Rent-A-Center, Inc. (NASDAQ/NGS:RCII), a rent-to-own industry leader, raised $50,000 for the nation's largest domestic hunger-relief organization, Feeding America^®.

"Fill the Fridge" is RAC's annual campaign to benefit Feeding America food banks nationwide. Donations were raised in all of Rent-A-Center's brick and mortar stores, its AcceptanceNOW kiosk locations in third-party stores, and Home Choice and Get It Now stores, all of which competed to raise the most dollars.

Home Choice Store 02971 (Blaine, Maine) and ANOW location 05936 (Stockton, Calif.) pulled off the highest fundraising totals: Home Choice raising $2,491.78 and ANOW producing the greatest donations at $2,973.59.

Home Choice Store Manager Pamela Allen and Sales Manager Tony Silva rallied their winning teams to the top.

"We asked, and our customers happily gave," said Silva. "They really wanted to support the families in need."

The two top fundraising stores also received an additional $1,000 from the corporate headquarters in Plano, Texas, to donate toward the food bank in their community.

"Hunger is an issue that affects every county in the United States," said Nancy Curby, senior vice president of corporate partnerships at Feeding America. "We are grateful to Rent-A-Center customers and employees for helping to fight hunger in the communities that they serve."

Since 2002 Rent-A-Center has donated over a million dollars to local and national hunger relief organizations.
