Vancouver, BC / TheNewswire / November 20, 2017 - Durango Resources Inc. (TSX.V-DGO), (the "Company" or "Durango") announces that it has hired Danae Voormeij, BSc (hon), MSc, PGeo, as a geological consultant for its wholly-owned Decouverte property located in the James Bay Eyou Istchee Territory of north-central Quebec.

Danae Voormeij designs and manages large-scale grassroots gold exploration programs. She has 15+ years' experience in exploring for greenstone-hosted orogenic gold, gold-rich VMS-style and epithermal gold-silver mineralized systems across the African continent, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, Mexico, Nicaragua and Dutch Guyana. In 2011, she led the AIM-listed Hummingbird Resources' exploration team to the grassroots discovery of 2.4 million ounces of gold (at 1.5 g/t Au grade) at the Birimian-greenstone belt-hosted Tuzon deposit in Liberia, West Africa.

Ms. Voormeij placed in the top 20 of the 2015 Integra Gold Challenge with her innovative proposal on target selection, out of 1,342 participants from 83 countries. More recently, she reviewed 7 gold concessions in Egypt's Eastern Desert, where she worked on historic and ancient gold mines. Ms. Voormeij is a registered professional with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia (EGBC) since 2007 and a Fellow of the Society of Economic Geologists (SEG) since 2013.

Marcy Kiesman, President and CEO of Durango Resources stated, "With her extensive experience in greenstone-hosted orogenic gold systems, Ms. Voormeij is highly qualified to review our dataset on the Decouverte. She has been hired as a consultant to bring together all of the rock and soil geochemistry and DIGHEM geophysical data that we have collected for Decouverte, from which she will form a geological model and define drill targets for a first diamond core drilling program at our exciting, 100% owned, gold project in James Bay, Quebec."

About Decouverte

The Decouverte property ("The Property") is in the Frotet-Evans greenstone belt, along the same shear zone as the former Troilus copper-gold mine, located approximately 60 kilometres to the northeast, which produced over two million ounces of gold and 50,000 tonnes of copper from 1997 to 2010. Durango is targeting orogenic shear-zone hosted gold mineralization and gold-rich VMS-style deposits at Decouverte

The Property covers a section of the main anastomosing shear-zone where it bends from trending east-west to northeast. The dominant structural feature is a large synclinal fold nose composed of Archean metasedimentary and metavolcanic rocks that has been deformed by northwest and northeast-trending faults and intruded by syn-orogenic granodiorite bodies.

Durango carried out a helicopter-borne DIGHEM EM/magnetic airborne geophysical survey on the property in 2011 (Nov. 24, 2011) and soil geochemistry and rock chip sampling in 2013 and 2014 targeting areas identified in the airborne survey. Rock chip sampling gave values of 7.6 grams per tonne gold and 6.24 grams per tonne gold (July 23, 2014) for narrow quartz veins hosted in altered mafic metavolcanic rocks.

The Property comprises 5900 hectares of contiguous claims in good standing and is located 100 kilometres north of Chibougamau, Quebec. The Property benefits from favourable infrastructure, including road accessibility to the project area via logging roads, being situated only 10 kilometres from the year-round Route du Nord, and having a high-voltage power line run directly through the Property. The James Bay Eyou Istchee Cree Territory has a strong working force of well-trained field personnel to support the mining industry. Operating mines in the Territory include Stornaway's Renard diamond mine and Goldcorp's Eleonore Gold Mine.

The technical information contained in this News Release was prepared by Danae Voormeij, MSc, PGeo. Ms Voormeij is a qualified person under CIM's National Instrument 43-101 Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects.
