  • Diana Sacchi Appointed Senior Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer

Welbilt, Inc. WBT, a leading global supplier of commercial foodservice equipment, today announced strategic changes to its organization and Executive Leadership Team. Andreas G. Weishaar will oversee the new corporate function of Digital as Senior Vice President, Strategy, Marketing and Digital, assuming additional responsibility for Digital and IT. Diana Sacchi joins the company's leadership team as Chief Human Resources Officer taking over the responsibility for the function previously held by Weishaar.

"Our new leadership structure will better support the execution of our growth strategy and accelerate our continued transformation to become the leader in the global foodservice equipment industry. It enhances our ability to meet the changing needs of our customers and their growing demand for digital solutions, while further increasing our employee focus. In addition, it will strengthen our M&A focus which, after a period of organic growth, becomes more important," said Hubertus Muehlhaeuser, President and CEO of Welbilt.

Weishaar, 44, will assume additional responsibility for Digital and IT as Senior Vice President Strategy, Marketing and Digital. He joined Welbilt in February 2016 as Senior Vice President Strategy, Marketing and Human Resources. He has led the development of Welbilt's long-term strategy, the design and implementation of the new product line organization and operating model, the company's rebranding as well as the repositioning of human resources as a business partner. In his new role, Weishaar brings senior leadership to Welbilt's company-wide digital transformation encompassing commercial and product strategies supported by processes and IT systems. Through his continued leadership of Welbilt's global strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and marketing functions, he will ensure organization-wide alignment as Welbilt drives commercialization of new offerings, services and business models.

Diana Sacchi joins Welbilt as Senior Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer. In this role, she will take over the responsibility of Welbilt's global Human Resources team and will report directly to Hubertus Muehlhaeuser. Sacchi, 58, most recently served as Vice President, Human Resources North America for LG Electronics USA. Prior to LG, she held a variety of human resources leadership roles with Grameen America, Inc., Avon Products, Inc., Bristol-Myers Squibb Company and the United Nations Development Program. She graduated from the Texas Woman's University with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and earned a Master's degree in Counseling and Organizational Psychology from Columbia University. She is fluent in English, Italian and Spanish.

"We have an incredibly talented and passionate team of leaders and we will continue to leverage their skills and strengths as we strive to execute on our strategy," said Muehlhaeuser. "As the Internet-of-Things begins to take hold in the commercial foodservice equipment industry and our customers are increasingly demanding the advantages it has brought to other industries, Andreas has the strong leadership skills needed to further drive our industry-leading connectivity and digital platform to the next level. Diana brings a strong human resources acumen to our Executive Leadership Team, having led international human resources organizations, developed and implemented employee initiatives, and established diversity and inclusion-based cultures. Diana strengthens our ongoing commitment to make Welbilt an even better place to work."
