LifePoint Health Completes Sale of Rockdale Medical Center

LifePoint Health, Inc., LPNT today announced the completion of a transaction with Piedmont Healthcare, in which the Company sold its ownership interest in Rockdale Medical Center and associated assets to the Atlanta-based healthcare delivery system. Rockdale Medical Center is a Joint Commission-accredited, 138-bed acute care hospital in Conyers, Ga., serving Rockdale County and surrounding communities.

Rockdale Medical Center and Piedmont Healthcare have worked closely together through Piedmont's clinically integrated network and other clinical affiliations for several years. This ownership transition is an evolution of that relationship and was the right decision for this community.

With the transaction completed, LifePoint Health continues to operate more than 70 hospital campuses and regional health systems, as well as physician practices, outpatient centers, and post-acute service providers in 22 states.
