Vancouver, BC / TheNewswire / September 29, 2017 - Amarillo Gold Corp. (TSX-V: AGC) ("Amarillo" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that all resolutions presented at the Company's Annual and Special General Meeting of Shareholders (the "AGM") held on September 28, 2017, including the appointment of directors, the appointment of MNP LLP, Chartered Accountants as auditors, the approval of the Company's stock option plan, the adoption of new company Articles and the adoption of advanced notice provisions, were approved by the shareholders of the Company.

A total of 43,686,072 common shares representing 51.47% of the outstanding common shares were present in person or by proxy at the AGM.

The directors elected to serve for the ensuing year are Buddy Doyle, David Birkett, Rostislav Raykov, Colin Sutherland, Rowland Uloth and Stephen Stow. All directors, except for Mr. Stow, were management's nominees for election as directors. Mr. Stow was nominated to be a director at the AGM.

Mr. Stow has been an adviser, investor, and executive engaged in various resource driven opportunities, startups and has global executive experience in management of public companies. He is currently a director of Lumina Gold Corp. (TSX-V: LUM). He served as President & CEO of Odin Mining & Exploration Ltd prior to the merger with Lumina Gold, and was a Director of the company since 1994. Mr. Stow has been Principal of Zen Capital & Mergers Ltd since 1995 and served as a Director since 1994. Prior to 1995 he served as Director of Corporate Finance, Asia for the National Westminster Bank, Hong Kong Division.

The Lavras do Sul Project is an advanced exploration stage property (190 sq. km.) comprising of more than 19 prospects centered on historic gold workings, with encouraging gold mineralization discovered and defined by drilling. The Company also has a portfolio of earlier stage projects and all properties under Amarillo's management are located in areas of good infrastructure and mining-friendly communities.
