AXIS Insurance Hires Christina Tom to Help Grow U.S. West Coast Renewable Energy Business

Tom Appointed Vice President, Renewable Energy Underwriter; Brings Expertise in Wind, Solar and Energy Storage Risks

AXIS Insurance, a business segment of AXIS Capital Holdings Limited ("AXIS Capital") AXS, today announced the hiring of Christina Tom as Vice President, Renewable Energy Underwriter. Mrs. Tom joins AXIS Insurance's global Renewable Energy team, where she will be responsible for leading its U.S. West Coast business, underwriting wind, solar and energy storage risks. She will report to Tom Cain, Vice President and Head of U.S. Renewable Energy, AXIS Insurance, and will be based out of AXIS' San Francisco office.

Mrs. Tom joins AXIS with nearly 15 years of insurance industry experience. For the last five years, she was Vice President, Inland Marine, at Aspen Insurance, where she helped launch and grow the company's San Francisco office. Prior to Aspen, Mrs. Tom was a Senior Underwriter in both Inland Marine and Commercial Insurance, focusing on the West Coast and Pacific Northwest regions for OneBeacon. She began her specialty insurance career in 2003 as a Commercial Insurance Underwriter at Chubb.

Mrs. Tom earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Managerial Economics from the University of California, Davis.
