United Technologies to Showcase Diverse System Capabilities - Analyst Blog

UTC Aerospace Systems, a part of diversified business conglomerate United Technologies Corp. UTX, recently announced that it would be displaying diverse system capabilities at the Farnborough Airshow 2014.

To be held from Jul 14–20 at Farnborough in the United Kingdom, the Airshow will exhibit a complete range of products and advanced systems for commercial aircraft, rotorcraft and defense applications. The technical team of experts from UTC Aerospace Systems will be present at the show to demonstrate the entire range.

Pratt & Whitney's PurePower PW1500G engine along with UTC Aerospace Systems nacelle system will be the main attraction of the pavilion. The PurePower PW1500G nacelle system directly helps to reduce fuel burn, emissions, noise and other costs. UTC Aerospace's advanced digital terrain system - TERPROM is one of the most advanced terrain awareness and warning systems, providing pilots with full situational awareness.

The display will include real-time simulation, giving visitors a feel of the system, showcasing its effectiveness in helping pilots to fly aircrafts more safely. The SmartDisplay Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) will be another system on display, focusing on efficiency and safety. The display will also include a new tablet-compatible EFB system, hoist, VIP seating, cockpit control, actuation, ram air turbine and airborne reconnaissance capabilities.
