After-Hours Movers: 3 Stocks Shifting On Earnings


U.S. stocks edged higher on Wednesday trading, following the Fed’s decision to stay put on interest rates, while signaling a hike for later this year.

After the market closed, Red Hat Inc (NYSE: RHT) posted Q2 EPS of $0.55 on revenue of $599.8 million, beating the Street’s consensus by $0.01 and $6.46 million, respectively. Along with positive guidance, this helped the stock surge roughly 5.8 percent after-hours.

Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. (NASDAQ: BBBY) also moved on its earnings report, although only by 0.37 percent, even though EPS of $1.11 fell short of estimates of $1.16, and revenue of $2.988 billion missed by $60 million.

On the other hand, shares of Jabil Circuit, Inc. (NYSE: JBL) lost almost 4 percent after the bell rang, despite a top and bottom line beat, and solid guidance. Q4 EPS of $0.28 beats the Street’s consensus by $0.03, while revenue of $4.43 billion came in $160 million ahead of expectations. The company also announced a restructuring, which is expected to cost $195 million over two years.
