  • Sonic Corporation SONC reported better-than-expected earnings for its third quarter, but the company missed analysts’ sales estimates. Same-store sales rose by only 2 percent over the period, while analysts were expecting a 2.7 surge. The company also lowered its same-store sales forecast for the year. Sonic shares dropped 6.13 percent to $28.49 in the after-hours trading session.
  • SYNNEX Corporation SNX reported upbeat results for its second quarter and issued a strong outlook for the third quarter. SYNNEX shares surged 4.90 percent to $98.61 in the after-hours trading session.

  • Emerge Energy Services LP EMES agreed to sell its fuels business to Sunoco LP SUN for $178.5 million. The company plans to use the proceeds of the sale to pay off some of its debt. Sunoco shares gained 0.91 percent to $31.10 in after-hours trading, while Emerge Energy shares jumped 10.77 percent to $12.75 in pre-market trading.
  • Shares of BlackBerry Ltd BBRY gained around 4 percent on Thursday after the company reported results for the first quarter. BlackBerry announced a better than expected adjusted earnings for the quarter. However, its top line continued to miss the Street analysts' expectations. BlackBerry shares dipped 7 percent to $6.51 in pre-market trading.
  • American Software, Inc. AMSWA reported earnings of $0.12 per share on revenue of $28.9 million for the fiscal fourth quarter. American Software shares gained 1.74 percent to $10.50 in the after-hours trading session.
