Why These 5 Stocks Are Moving After Hours

Shares of OvaScience Inc OVAS were trading up more than 12 percent in Wednesday’s after-hours session, in what seemed like a correction of the 11.03 percent decline seen over the day. Also experiencing a correction seemed to be Epizyme Inc EPZM, which gained roughly 11 percent after the bell rang, recuperating the ground lost (9.94 percent) during the day.

PTC Therapeutics, Inc. PTCT was down about 3.7 percent after the company announced it was cutting its workforce by approximately 18 percent. A press release explained that, "The reduction is part of PTC's program intended to optimally manage operating expenses following its recent setback related to the Refuse to File letter received from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for Translarna™ (ataluren) for the treatment of nonsense mutation Duchenne muscular dystrophy (nmDMD)."

Finally, surging on their earnings calls were KB Home KBH and PVH Corp PVH.

KB Home was up more than 8 percent after posting earnings of $ 0.14 per share, $ 0.03 ahead of the Street’s consensus, on revenue of $678.37 million, also above expectations for $632.63 million.

PVH was trading up about 4 percent after the company delivered earnings of $1.52 per share, $0.06 above the Street’s consensus, on revenue of $2.11 billion, which beat expectations by $40 million.
