SAS Posts Q2 Profit

SAS AB posted a net profit for its fiscal second quarter and raised its forecast for the full year. The Scandinavian airline reported a quarterly net profit of 278 million Swedish kronor ($34.3 million), versus a year-ago loss of SEK806 million. Its revenue climbed to SEK9.4 billion, versus SEK8.47 billion. Its unit costs rose 3.4 percent in the quarter. Earnings loss before tax and non-recurring items came in at SEK331 million, versus a loss of SEK1.08 billion.
