Schroders Q1 Profit Rises

reported a gain in its profit for the latest quarter. Schroders posted a pretax profit of 141.7 million pounds ($218.8 million), compared to GBP118.9 million, in the year-ago period. Its profit before tax and exceptional items climbed to 149.6 million pounds from 130.7 million pounds. Its revenue climbed to GBP403.8 million from GBP358.8 million. For the first quarter, the company's assets under management surged to GBP319.5 billion, versus 300.0 billion pounds, as on December 31, 2014.
