reported a rise in its third-quarter profit and lifted its full-year profit forecast.
Toyota now projects a profit of Yen2.13 trillion ($18.1 billion) for the fiscal year ending March. Toyota raised its annual sales outlook for North America to 2.75 million vehicles, compared to 2.74 million vehicles.
Toyota's net profit for the third quarter climbed 14.2% to Yen600 billion, beating analysts' estimates of Yen540.6 billion. For October-December, the company's operating profit climbed 27% to 762.88 billion yen, versus expectations of 690.21 billion yen.
Its revenue climbed 8.9% to Yen7.1 trillion.
Toyota's sales gained 15.6% y/y in January.
Toyota shares rose 0.01% to close at $131.10 yesterday.
