AMZN reported a surge in its first-quarter revenue. The company's quarterly revenue climbed to $19.74 billion from $16.07 billion, beating analysts' estimates of $19.4 billion. The company posted its profit of $108 million, or $0.23 per share, versus a year-earlier profit of $82 million, or $0.18 per share. Amazon shares gained 0.25% to $337.99 in the after-hours trading session.

V reported weaker-than-expected fiscal second-quarter revenue. The company's operating revenue surged to $3.16 billion from $2.96 billion, missing analysts' estimates of $3.19 billion. Visa shares tumbled 4.49% to $200.00 in the after-hours trading session.
