Carrefour Posts Higher Operating Profit

French company Carrefour SA

reported a 5.4% gain in its 2013 operating profit. Carrefour's operating profit for the year jumped to EUR2.24 billion ($3.08 billion), while sales fell 1% to EUR74.9 billion. Carrefour's net profit also surged to EUR949 million. Carrefour shares closed at $7.24 yesterday.
